Hi Angie… I brought along a 900 pound gorilla who is celebrating his birthday too. Do you know what to give a 900 pond gorilla for his birthday? I don’t know? But you better hope he likes it. Have a good one and how about those storms this morning. Talk about starting out the day with a bang! Be well…Greg

Hi Angie, Yes…Writing is such a wonderful tool to help us grow. I also understand what you shared about Eckhart Tolle. There are things that we can glean from what he has shared. Kind of like a new twist on some of God’s wisdom. Through studies it is very interesting on how religion(s) have always tried to teach a new way about God. When all it takes is for us to glean deeper into Him. We all seem to get it for awhile (me included) then we stray off. That’s why we are refereed to as sheep or a flock. Yes…Nothing more important than staying close by the Shepard. Gods Plan For Man….Just keeps moving along and He changes not and nothing catches Him off guard. His Spirit is moving believers back to basics. Back into the fold. May this comment find you both well, with doors of opportunity, good health, and safe travels. Hhhmmm...Good Morning. It's a beautiful day in Missouri. I'm sitting out on the back patio drinking some java and reading a book, and obviously blogging as well. I picked up the book ~ The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. What do I think? I'm not sure yet. I do know this though... I heard all this from the word of faith church that I used to attend. It could have been taken straight from his sermon book. Which is why I'm left with Hhhmmm.... Seriously ~ there are so many similarities that it's kind of scary. As far as the book goes ~ I like it so far with one obvious exception. I believe in God as God. He is God. He has always been God. He will always be God. Tiger's up to his old tricks again...Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a huge sports fan, football being #1 in my book. I was saying to my husband yesterday that I couldn't believe that I was laying around watching golf and actually enjoying it!! But I did enjoy it and I have enjoyed it since I've been watching Tiger Woods play. He simply has that something. That certain something that so many of the great sports players have. You can't explain it... you can only watch with awe or shake your head in disbelief or be like me and jump up off the couch and root 'em on!! And after they do the spectacular... Laugh and cry all at the same time. Way to go Tiger! What a great comeback. Seriously?Good Morning, The stock market is trending sideways this morning so I've spent some time cruising through some of my favorite blogs. I couldn't help but link to this unbelievable post at Slaughter of the Sheep. And as I speak, or type, I'm finding more and more people blogging about this. Free advertisement or complete disbelief, I don't know which, but at first, I sort of thought they were joking, or at least I was hoping they were... so I followed the link they gave (Information Age Prayer) and read for myself. I can't even find words. People ~ a life with God is about a relationship with God! (oops! I found some words!) I'm not sure a computer has God's ear. And then there's that whole "vain repetitions" thing found in Matthew 6, that you have to deal with. I don't know, that just might apply here. And then one has to wonder if God would be pleased with this revolutionary new way of praying to Him. Well, I can't speak for God, obviously, but I'm sort of leaning toward ~ no. But, hey, you judge for yourself. By the way, if you just can't find enough ways to spend your hard earned money... shoot me an email and I'll give you my address. QuoteWhen I read this quote from Robert Frost, who I am distantly related to (no joke), I couldn't help but think of those holding the highest offices in our country, from THE highest office to the CEO's of banks and businesses. "The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning, and does not stop until you get to the office." Sometimes we just need to let things work out on their own. |
